2020 Quilt Retreats
July 24th and 25th - rescheduled to August 14th & 15th
Please note changes for the August retreat - We will have limited space and due to that we will only accept registrations for both days. If all the spaces are not taken we will notify our mailing list and open it up for individual day registration a week or so before. This retreat will be held at the Wildflower Arts Quilt Shop. Due to the change in venue we will only be able to offer 4 foot tables. There will still be ironing stations set up and space for laying out your work. The tables will be spaced so that people will be sitting 6ft apart. When you are at your station you do not need to wear a mask but if you travel around the room (which will put you closer than 6 ft to other people) you will need to wear your mask. For this retreat the cost will be $90 for both days and as always all your meals and snacks are included in that price.
September 25th and 26th
November 6th and 7th
Unless specified retreats will be held at the South Gillies Community Center.
Pricing: $80 Friday and $60 Saturday. If you book both days it will be $125 total. These prices include lunch, snacks and dinner on Friday and lunch and snacks on Saturday.
Come with your friends and bring your machine and your projects and sew, sew sew!!!!!! I am sure that there will be UFO sightings that day!
This retreat is open to quilters of all levels of skill.
Tables and chairs (not wheeled) are provided, though you are welcome to bring your own chair if you prefer. We ask that you please bring a coffee cup with a lid and that your cold beverage container also have a lid. You are welcome to bring your own snacks with you. Please no scented products, sewing or personal. Please bring your own heavy duty extension cord if that is what you prefer. We try to accommodate but the hall is old and has few outlets so we run extension cords and not all of them are heavy duty.
We will provide ironing stations, please do not bring your own irons. If you are doing paper piecing and need one close by we can see if it will be ok, it needs to be small with no steam. There will also be a cutting station, though you are welcome to set up boards and cut at your own area. There will be many tables set up where you can lay out designs, we have risers for them so it will make it easier to work at the tables.
We will have goodie bags for all attendees and attendance drawings each day. The bags are hand painted and are individualized fro each retreat.
The site is wheelchair accessible.
Payment is due upon registration, the only reserved reservation is a paid one.
To get a registration form or for more information contact Sharon Melville at 807-626-3691 or at email@example.com.
Various Kits and fabric will be available for sale at the retreat.
